

i like to use the new year's downtime to revisit work the holiday season makes it impossible to concentrate on. i keep coming back to finland's hanna konola. you guys might know her from rare device or lines&shapes.
what i like most about her work is, to me, it's immediately apparent that it's not american. does that make sense? her color palette, her shapes, her composition -- it's all quite pretty and simply feels different and new.
