i like these ones in particular because they remind me of the first children's book i remember as a kid called mary of mile 18. not really in look, of course, but they feel the same to me. it was my sister's, i think... anyway, it was a canadian hit. look it up.

WPA POSTERS

i'm still swoony about the WPA posters from FDR's new deal public works project. hard to believe it was 75 years ago (!) this april.

i particularly like the ones from the brookfield zoo.
