i love that these valentines from kansas city letterpress champs hammerpress don't say "be mine", but "YOU'RE mine".
nice and assertive.

i found these rare color images of the early 20th century russian empire on the huffington post today and they were too pretty to pass up.

using a special technique that captured three black and white photographs in succession, the pictures could then be combined using red, green and blue filters to create realistic color. take that, iphone photo apps!

sergei mikhailovich prokudin-gorskii was commissioned by tsar nicholas II to document 1909-1915.
